LT3685 是一款可调频率 (200kHz 至 2.4MHz) 单片式降压型开关稳压器，可接受高达 38V 工作电压和最大值为 60V 的输入电压。当 VIN 高于 38V 典型值 (最小值为 36V) 时，内部过压保护电路将关断电源开关，因而使得器件能够安全地承受 60V 的瞬态电压。芯片上集成了一个高效率 0.25Ω 开关、一个升压肖特基二极管以及必需的振荡器、控制和逻辑电路。电流模式拓扑结构用于实现快速瞬态响应和上佳的环路稳定性。LT3685 的高工作频率允许使用小和低成本的电感器和陶瓷电容器，从而实现了低输出纹波，并尽可能地缩减了整体解决方案的外形尺寸。
