Overview

Renesas’ RL78/L1x Series of MCUs provide low power consumption and are equipped with UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter) and I ² C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) serial communication functions. Additional functions, such as an LCD drive circuit, on-chip oscillator (OCO), watchdog timer (WDT), and real-time clock (RTC) substantially reduce the number of external components required by the pedometer. This contributes to a compact design and lower cost.
