Overview

The MCU lineup of Renesas includes the RX23T Group with built-in floating-point unit (FPU) suitable for vector control, and the RL78/G14 Group capable of vector control even at low pin counts, which are suitable for inverter control in refrigerator applications. Their on-chip features allow the design of efficient motor drive solutions which allow refrigerators to be made more eco-friendly. For refrigerator system control, the RL78/G13 Group, the RX230 Group, and the RX231 Group are ideal product groups in that they incorporate a variety of A/D converters to allow precise control of the internal temperature. In addition, the RX130 Group MCU is designed to implement a touch panel solution which allows the appliance manufacturer to provide flat panel interfaces free of protrusions or indentations, thus improving cleaning and maintenance.
