ST provide dedicated solutions, for high end front door modules, integrating in a single device the mains functions required to drive vehicle door-mounted systems as well as to control electrochromic rear-view mirrors.
The offered multifunctional door actuator drivers are able to control via an integrated SPI the window lift (facilitating the implementation of advanced trapping detection function), all latching/locking operations, wing mirror movement, mirror turn indicator light, defroster, some lamps and also an electrochromic mirror . The SPI controls all operation modes (forward, reverse, brake and high-impedance) and provides all the diagnostic information.
With such solutions a door module can be completed with few others devices. The power management systems basis IC providing voltage regulator, CAN/ LIN tranceiver and contact monitoring. An high current H-bridge to drive the window lifht motor. A discrete low current MOSFET required for charging/discharging the electrochromic glass.
